Well I’ve stumbled across a new tool for storing and sharing recipes, planning menus and meals, and preparing shopping lists. It’s called Kitchen Monki and it bills itself as the “ultimate kitchen utensil”. That moniker might be right on the mark. I’ve only been playing with it for a few hours but the user interface is very easy to follow.
In a mere three minutes I had planned a single meal and had a printout of recipes and a shopping list handed to me. I selected an entree and was presented with a variety of options for a salad course, side dish, and dessert course. The recipe layouts are very easy to follow, clear, and concise. The shopping list is comprehensive. It consolidates ingredients and gives a total quantity needed and includes the required prep (slicing, dicing, whatever) in the grocery list. It also suggests brand names for certain ingredients. The list is categorized by the grocery department (produce, fresh meats, canned goods) and they are promising to add the ability to “map” grocery store layouts so that your lists are laid out the way you walk through the store.
I’m planning to try it out for a week’s worth of menus and see how it works for me, but it looks very promising! Check it out yourself. You also might want to take a look at their twitter feed.

Not sure how I ended up on your site as I found it by mistake on bing but I have now read a fair bit on your website now, Keep up the good work and Ill try to visit as much as I can.
